November 2012 Marks Eighth Year of OPD Inception

OPD Brothers and Sisters will wear their habits in honor of the year of the eight-pointed star.

This year marks the eighth year of our inception.  To mark the year, our leadership has asked members to embrace the divine path of community by bearing witness to our call by honoring the symbols of our community.  The habit of the OPD is the outward sign of our conversion to the life of the spirit. This symbol, for us represents the divinization of the flesh.  It reminds us that we put on the appearance of the mortal condition so as to bring Christ to the world.  The habit of the OPD stands as a solemn reminder of our call and our station in this life.  The garb of the timeless ones places us in the path of light as we illuminate the world by the breath and word of the spirit of truth.

We shall begin our year of the eight-pointed star on October 5, 2012 and honor the jubilee through November 13, 2012.

Prayers while putting on the Habit of the Brothers and Sisters of  Oneness, Peace, Divinity

Tunic
Clothe me, O Christ, with the garments of salvation.
By your grace may I keep them pure and spotless,
so that clothed in white, I may be worthy to walk with you
in the kingdom of God. Amen.
Cincture
Gird me, O Christ, with the cincture of justice and the cord of purity
that I may unite the many affections of my heart in the love of you alone.
Amen.

Rosary
O God, whose only-begotten Son, by his life, death, and resurrection,
has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,
grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating upon the mysteries of the
Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise,
through the same Christ.
Amen.

Scapular
Show yourself a mother,
He will hear your pleading
Whom your womb has sheltered
And whose hand brings healing.

White Capuche
Divine One, You have set your sign upon my head
that I should admit no lover but you. Amen.

Black Capuce
Heavenly Father,
Who were with your great servants Moses and Joshua
and used them to bring your children out of bondage,
fill us with that same grace
that we may preach your word boldly and with authority
for the deliverance of those under the bondage of sin.
Cappa
We fly to your patronage, O Holy Mother of God,
do not despise our prayers in our necessity,
but free us from all peril, O Blessed Virgin. Amen.
We ask this as we ask all things, through Christ.
-Amen.
